Luca Papini was born on 16th February 1975 in Brescia. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence and then he graduated in Industrial Design at the IED in Milan. After some years of experience in important design studios, in 2006 he started his own business focusing on the industrial design. Some of his works have won international awards: in 2006 and in 2010 he won the Chicago Good Design Award, in 2010 he was awarded a special mention for his “innovative and environmentally friendly" product by the jury of the Gran Design Etico of Milan and in 2011 he received the nomination for the German Design Preis and not least he won the ADA Archiproducts Design Award in 2018. Luca Papini teaches Product design at the European Institute of Design in Milan and he is visiting professor at the Tsinghua University in Beijing. He lives and works on Lake Maggiore.
